Since returning home back to Hamble after finishing the
Volvo Ocean Race, I have been getting out in Stokes Bay everyday weather
permitting. Trying to learn how to fly a Moth and it has been a steep learning
curve but I have always loved a challenge!
I fully expect to get humbled in Garda but I will have a
better idea of where I am after the Worlds. The Italian Championship was the
first time I have been out racing in a fleet and it was great fun and I learnt
a hell of a lot. 17th out of 80 in the Italian Nationals is base
camp, now I just have to climb Mount Everest!
The World Championship is going to be amazing! 120 Moths flying around at over 20 knots is just fantastic racing. Bring it on!
All the best,
Robert
