One more leg to go!
Well, as expected after
the reach to Azores in 15-22 knots, the wind decreased around the high but it
didn’t really compress the fleet and we fell behind as the leaders extended on
the return leg to L’Orient. But the ride back to L’Orient was pretty special;
building breeze to as high as 45 knots. Very fast wet and wild sailing tempered
with caution – How far do we push it?
The big picture was we
aimed to get there in one piece, which we did with no heroics but not to go too
slow! I have to say, they are not exactly the conditions you do must practice
in!
Good luck to everyone today in the Foxer Interstellar Champsionship in Hamble, I hear it has been a bit windy back home as well.
