April Update

On April 2nd, there were a 119 entries for the 2014 Moth World Championship, which will be held at Hayling Island Sailing Club from 19th to 25thJuly 2014 . Only a few more boats needed and it will be the largest Worlds ever!  The club reckon that there are another 10 boats expected to enter and the guys and girls are coming from all over the world. Training has started in earnest, including me! The weather on the south coast of the UK is improving all the time and it's great to be out in a Moth!

Meanwhile the Extreme40 Series continues and well done to The Wave Muscat (including brother Rob!) for winning in Muscat in the last act. The racing is extremely close and very competitive. Next up, In May the fleet returns to China’s ‘Olympic Sailing City’ Qingdao. On Oman Air we are improving all the time and as a key partner of the Oman Sail programme, we have Hashim and Musab developing all the time. It is tough to win but I feel that we have a lot of potential to improve our performance and our results by the time we finish the series in Sydney, this December.
